Spring - German Language Course

February 22 – April 16, 2010

The IUCM offers this German Language course between the winter and summer semesters for LMU students.

We offer courses at all levels:  Basic,  Intermediate and Advanced.

Contents of the course:

• Conversational skills
  
• German grammar (both the revision and progression of)
• Text work 
• Writing Skills, thus enabling students to discuss and argue accurately within the relevant cultural, scientific and political contexts .
  
• The development of reading skills through the analysis of newspaper articles as well as other literary and scientific texts, including official letters/e-mails and lectures. These shall be complemented with text summaries as well as other sources of critical theory and argument.
• Important phrases needed for everyday life in Germany, as well as those needed for study and many other practical exercises.

Participants

The target group consists of undergraduate, graduate and postgraduate international students as well as scientists at the LMU.

A maximum of 13 students may participate upon the course, whilst a minimum of 10 participants is also enforced per course.

Dates

• February 22 – April 16, 2010
• 3x weekly spread over 7 weeks (altogether: 42 lessons)
• Monday, Thursday, Wednesday, 7:00 - 8:30 p.m.
